This Friday-Alumni Day for graduates: On July 4th, Venue and Festival Managers who have graduated from the Audience Development Programme over the last two years will join this year’s class to enjoy a day of continued learning, including a session on dealing with the media. We are delighted to be joined by Alistair Spalding, Chief Executive and Artistic Director of Sadler’s Wells and hear him being interviewed by Laurence Mackin, Irish Times. Marketplace: In 2014 Marketplace will include approximately 40 organisations, chosen through a process of selection and application. The objectives of the project are: To establish better dialogue on artistic programming between venues and promoters and to allow both parties to engage and collaborate from early stages of project and programme development. By facilitating dialogue at an early stage MARKETPLACE aims to provide a framework for venues and networks to articulate their needs in terms of tours and audience response; and for promoters to respond and test programme ideas.
