Arts Audiences is a partnership initiative of the Arts Council and Temple Bar Cultural Trust.
Arts Audiences seeks to initiate and support audience-focussed thinking, most particularly where audience development and marketing meet.
The guiding principles for work are:
To build capacity in arts organisations to enable an audience-centred approach and to ensure that organisations can plan for marketing capabilities appropriate to their needs.
To initiate, support and highlight good practice. Initiatives and actions will, in the first phase, take an action research approach, seeking to answer key questions by practice, monitoring and disseminating results.
The project aims to initiate a process whereby arts organisations are supported in adopting an audience development approach, maximising engagement with target audiences and enhancing the experience of audiences who experience the arts.
