The scheme in 2012 is aiming to concentrate on two kinds of project:

  1. Projects for emerging companies, initiatives and artists. You might be a company who needs a website revamp or launch, be setting up a site or campaign for a specific show, exhibition, book or festival for instance. You might be a group of people who have not to date looked at online advertising, or who are looking to see how to get the most from your online presence to sell tickets, publicise your opening, or build up your email newsletter subscribers. If you think you fall into this category, you should be applying.
  2. Projects for more established companies and organizations, who have an online presence, regularly carry out online campaigns and have an online budget for marketing, but who are seeking to take their online marketing to a new level. This might be an established festival or company looking to increase the number of overseas visitors, or to build a base of regular subscribers to their newsletter with a sales focus.
  3. Other projects. If you have something innovative or interesting you need or want  to do online, a specific project which is not captured by the above, we would like to invite you to apply also.

NB. Applicants should note that it is imperative that they have considered the time and other implications of participating should they be successful; projects form part of the work of the organization and should be adequately resourced. A timetable of activity will be agreed with the mentor at the outset and this must be adhered to. For example, there will be a minimum of four meetings with your mentor over the four-month period and you need to ensure that you have set aside time in the period to do the necessary work and adjustments to ensure that you get the most out of the scheme.
